Overview:
As the war came to an end and with Soviet forces entering Berlin for the final battle. a surprisingly large number of German units were still operational and attempted to either escape to the west or extract a high price for their demise. One of these units Kampfgruppe von Luck from Panzer-Division 21, had been trapped and subsequently surrounded. Oberst Hans von Luck was ordered to break out in the direction of Baruth and the excellent roads leading to Luckenwalde and Jüterbog in order to open and hold a corridor through which the rest of the trapped 9th Army could pass. Initially, von Luck made good progress across the Berlin-Dresden autobahn but then hit the 50th Guards Rifle Division which had been reinforced with several dug-in Stalin tanks.Attacker: German (Panzergrenadier-Regiment 125 and Panzer-Regiment 22, Panzer-Division 21)
