2020-06-12(A) Andy Bagley vs David Murray German winI suppose this captures why I don't like some late-war scenarios: one hit from a Pather's 75LL gun and you're dead - even the ISU122s can't withstand them. I tried swarming the German tanks to try to get side and rear shots, but my tanks just got massacred with successful intensive fire, followed by the dreaded D2.11 last sentence allowing them another VCA change because the BMG can still fire. Drawing two red chits straight off with my OBA didn't help either. I'm sure there must be a way to win with the Russians, but I certainly couldn't find it. :-(

2017-01-25(A) Paolo Cariolato vs Federico Corso Russian winThis is a difficult scenario for both sides. Germans have few troops but must delay the attackers enough time to make the Tigers to bear. The Russian have a lot of troops but exiting 22 infantry CVP points AND taking those 4 buildings is a tough call. My opponent trow the towel after losing all 3 Panthers and some infantry at the end of turn 2. Probably a good decision since I still had 8 tanks that could roam freely for 2 more turns. I liked his decision to use the HIP mortar to target the trucks, it was just unfortunate that one of my T34 drove right in its hex. Good scenario, would like to play it again.
