Overview:
One of the first objectives for the Soviet invasion was to seize Terijoki. The resort town offered insignificant military value. The significance of Terijoki was that the Soviets had designated it the home of the People's Revolutionary Government of Finland. The Winter War officially began when Soviet artillery opened a bombardment on the Karelian Isthmus on the morning of 30 November. The 70th Rifle Division, reinforced with the 20th Heavy Tank Brigade, attacked to seize Terijoki.Attacker: Russian (Elements of 252nd Rifle Regiment, 70th Rifle Division)
