Overview:
This scenario is played like a Red Barricades CG except that it is only one scenario long. Initial OBs and CPP are provided (Russian 18 CCP -- German 18 CCP and 20 FFP). . . The Russian bridgehead on the western shore of the Volga was reduced to a narrow strip of terrain. Between the Barricady and the Red October factories the German assault groups were only 400 meters from the Volga, posing a major threat to the Soviet reinforcements attempting to cross from the eastern bank. Desperate to buy some time, Soviet Lt. General Chuikov decided to launch a counter-attack. Scraping together three salvaged tanks and about fifty riflemen from various HQ staffs, and even men of a sanitary unit, the attack was launched.Attacker: Russian (62nd Army)
