Overview:

The Germn 198th Infantry Division accidentally established a bridgehead over the Prut River at Skulyany, Bessarabia, on 22 June. The disorganized Soviets launched several sorties over the next 2 weeks, with variable results. On 2 July, a concerted attack by the 369th Rifle Regiment, supported by armor from the 2nd Mechanized Corps, sought to dislodge the battered 326th Infantry Regiment, which was supported by a platoon of the 235th Antitank Battalion.

2024-07-22(D) Dave Mareske vs Paul Works German winThe Germans managed to get two AFVs with the AT guns but then in an disastrous turn four got all four of the other AFVs by either street fighting, ATR or LMGs. With the Russians running out of troops (they ELRed a lot) and were never able to gather enough firepower on German positions to make a difference. The Germans were able to exit three squads and leader as well. In the end there were not enough Russians to take all the buildings in time.
