Overview:
The Soviet Red Navy led Operation Countenance with a bold amphibious invasion across the Caspian Sea. The resort town of Pahlavi was the summer home of the Shah and the namesake of his family. Still, when the large Soviet ship appeared the Persians were taken completely by surprise. As the Soviet Marines began unloading onto the pier, the Persians attempted to organize a hasty defense.Attacker: Russian (Red Marines)
