Overview:

In January 1944, the 3rd Commando Brigade ‘Royal Marines’ was tasked with cutting the escape route of the Japanese 54th Division. An amphibious operation was mounted on the Myebon Peninsula to prevent the Japanese from with-drawing down the Kangaw Track through the An River Delta. Numbers 1, 5, 42, and 44 Commando ‘RM’ put to shore and swiftly captured several strategic hills. One such point -- Hill 170--overlooked the town of Kangaw, and it’s vital road junction. No. 4 Troop of No. 1 Commando captured the hill on 31 January with the help of a platoon of Sherman tanks from the 19th Indian Lancers, which had landed with great difficulty a few days before. These tanks became a major concern for Japanese commanders, who quickly assembled a special detachment to deal with the armored threat. No. 4 Troop and the Shermans laagered for the night along with the Brigade H.Q. on Hill 170. At dawn on the first of February, the Japanese struck…

2021-03-13(A) Stephen dedier vs Dave Reenstra British winThis was a typical PTO slugfest.
Japanese smoked and Banzai'd their way into the British defenses but one tank escaped to more remote high ground chased by by 1 MMC toting a DC.
Japanese were left with 3.5 standing squads (1 pinned) and 3 crews at the end
British had no standing unbroken units and 2 burning Sherman's but unfortunately for the Japanese there was 1 standing Sherman for the victory.
Really fun scenario with a lot of options for play.
2020-05-03(A) Ron Garcia vs Darryl M. British win
2018-01-14(A) Jim Kloss vs Bob Eury Japanese winI managed to win as the Japanese, primarily due to pre-assigning my DC allotment to HIP TH-heroes. A good scenario for exploiting the unique Japanese ASL characteristics.
2017-03-06(A) Simon Staniforth vs British win
2017-01-01(D) Michael Rodgers vs Cliff Welsh British winCliff was not sufficiently well versed in using Japanese advantages.
