Overview:
One objective that was crucial to both the Dutch and the Germans plans was the Grebbeberg -- a 54 meter high hill dominating the ground west of Rhenen. It was the lynch pin to the Grebbeline. The task of taking this formidable strongpoint was given to the SS-Der Fuhrer Regiment.Attacker: German (SS) (SS Standarte Der Führer)

2024-05-05 | (A) O Ramaille | vs | Dutch win | Impossible mission for the SS. They even did not reach the Grebbeberg and suffered huge losses. Despite the infantry guns covering the hill with smoke, the Dutch were able to channel the SS attack to a restrained area under heavy fire.
2018-04-19 | (A) Ian Morris | vs | Gerard Burton | Dutch win
2018-01-17 | (D) Tom Kearney | vs | Lindsey Murillo | Dutch win | This seems to be very tough on the Germans, even with the balance. The Dutch had every avenue of approach covered and wire surrounded the hill. Lindsey made a valient effort but came up short.
2016-12-29 | (A) Dave Mareske | vs | Nathan Wegener | Dutch win | Hard to get any hill hexes when they are covered with wire.
2016-12-29 | (D) nathan wegener | vs | Dave Mareske | Dutch win | Tough one for the Germans to cover all that open ground and have enough time to get through the wire. |
