Overview:

The 1st Panzer Division struck the French in a combined arms assault on two villages. The French withdrew from Baâlons, but staunchly defended Bouvellemont. Here, the French 25mm anti-tank guns knocked out twenty panzers while a torrent of machine gun fire completely stalled the exhausted German infantry. Oberstleutnant Hermann Balck's officers informed him that they could not continue the attack without rest. He cut them short and said, "Gentlemen, we are attacking.. .if you do not want to go on, I will take the village myself." Balck then marched off toward Bouvellemont. He crossed 100 meters, then his men got up and rushed across the field with fixed bayonets. By sunset, Bouvellemont was in German hands.

(VASL Log)		3 hrsSeemed tough on the Germans, as featured on IR118, but we didn't help ourselves with a missing AFV. Germans have to be really aggressive on this one.
2022-10-05(A) Michael Rodgers vs Nelson Harris French winAfter having played as the Germans with the balance, I can say that they need to rush straight up the middle. If the French realize that, their AT guns can be positioned for early kills, or kept back for late kills.
2022-09-05(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best French winFrench went with a backfield defense. First 25LL AT shot was a 12...of course and gun never shot again. My other AT Gun never fired. Germans secured the first building on Turn 4, but ran out of time to take the other two needed for the win. Tough game on the Germans especially in light of MALF'ing an AT Gun and the French HMG and still managing to win.
