Overview:
At 1030 hours, the morning of the 19th, the fog lifted and revealed the magnitude of the German attack on Noville. The entire countryside was literally bristling with enemy armor and soon the flash of heavy guns amid wisps of fog were a surreal element as battle was initiated.
