Overview:
The Russian steamroller was rolling through southern Poland during the summer of '44. On July 13 the Russians penetrated the defensive line at the juncture where the Hungarian 3rd Hussars abutted the German 102nd Infantry Regiment. Seeing an opportunity to split the line open at this weak spot, the Russians threw hordes of infantry at the flank of the Hussars to pry it apart from the German line and exploit the Axis' tactical disadvantage.Attacker: Hungarian (Elements of 3rd Hussar Regiment)
Defender: Russian (Elements of 18th Infantry Army, 1st Ukrainian Front)

2017-05-19 | (A) Allen Evenson | vs | Brad Hunter | Hungarian win | Tense game that came down to the end. Brad needed one more CVP available to exit. I was able to get to a good spot and break it on the way towards the exit on the last turn. Great match. CASLO 2017 Round 1
2017-03-01 | (A) Michael Rodgers | vs | Bruno L'Archeveque | Hungarian win | Russian sent three squads and one leader up right side, mortar in the middle and everyone else left. Hungarians defended with MMG team on Russian right and rest on Russian left. Hungarian defenders had a forward line that withdrew in fair order, keeping the Russian advance too slow to win.
2017-02-25 | (D) Michael Rodgers | vs | Bruno L'Archeveque | Hungarian win | Russian moved everyone on the left half of the battlefield. Hungarian line held tough. A mid-game HW was destroyed despite moving through grain and woods. Hungarian moved to prevent recovery of the six broken squads to end the game.
2013-09-01 | (A) nathan wegener | vs | Lee C | Hungarian win | Russians massed for the woods cluster. Hungarians spread out along front. Forward defense line held for nearly 3 turns throwing off pace of Russian plans to exit. MageF13
