Overview:

As the Germans continued to land additional reinforcements on Texel Island, the battle focused on the airport. The Georgians continued to defend the airport in hopes the Allies would land reinforcements there. On 14 April, the Germans were able to move an Assault Gun Battery to the island and immediately tasked it to support an attack on the airport defenses.

2021-08-14(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German winWe slugged through this scenario and it came down to the last turn. We played a 10 turn scenario in 5 hours. My Georgians fought tooth and nail to the very end until my final half-squad was in melee with one of Dan's final three unbroken squads. Dan managed to secure 9 of the 6 needed hexes and that was game. It was a brutal fight that really did go down to the wire. The Georgian sniper killed the German 9-2 and almost two full squads. Great scenario.
