Overview:
The Communist 1st Front Army left its home in mid-October, breaking out to the southwest. Deceived by the forces left behind, the Nationalists were unaware of the scale of the breakout for a month. The Red Army used this time to extricate its painfully slow logistics columns across the mountains. The Nationalists rushed large numbers of troops into the area. The newly recruited Red Army 34th Division was trailing the main body. The KMT overcame the division as it approached the Xiang River.Attacker: KMT (Elements of KMT)

In any case, this scenario felt like a real stinker; one I would never play again. | ||

So, only thing I could do, is HUMAN WAVE the small village, next turn Human Wave the woods to clear out the flankers (losing my 8-1) MMG malfs...So, defending units in copse of woods in O4....Human Wave the 4 squads there. At least 3 human waves just to overwhelm the enemy. Exited the VC needed but had to play it out to determine Casualties for the CG | ||
