Overview:
The German 71st Infantry Division had broken through the weak Russian defenses in downtown Stalingrad and seized several tall buildings along the bank of the Volga. A group of Germans wielding submachine-guns and supported by tanks had captured the "Specialists' House",an apartment building built to house engineering specialists, and from the upper floors heavy machine-guns were firing on the river crossings. In order to retake the building, General Chuikov organized a battlegroup consisting of staff officers and personnel from the 62nd Army headquarters and guard company, with support of three tanks from Chuikov's only reserve.Attacker: Russian (NKVD)/Russian (10th NKVD Division / 62nd Army HQ Security Company / 133rd Heavy Tank Brigade / 3rd Battalion,34th Guards Regiment, 13th Guards Division)
