Overview:

The siege of Lennigrad continued into its second year. To stymie relief attempts, the Germans had constructed interlocking positions. One of these was Worker's Settlement No. 8, situated in the marshy area near the banks of Lake Ladoga. The 128th Rifle Division was ordered to take Worker's Settlement No. 8. The Germans put up fierce resistance. Hand-to-hand fighting was required before the Germans finally retreated.

2020-10-21(D) O Ramaille vs Loïc Gourdon German winThe German setup out of LOS behind the first range of trees. The Russian attacked through the woods as a huge mass and routed several German units. Yet resistance was stiff and the Germans managed to retreat in order. Fire from a T-34 support the assault which slowed down when an AT gun appeared in front of the Russian troops. With the AT gun eliminated, the Russians rushed forward but they had lost too much time to push back the Germans from the settlement. A German victory.
