Overview:

In the bloody ongoing campaign in the Huertgen Forest, the U.S. 28th Division pushed into Vossenack. On November 4th, the 116th Panzer Division was released from reserve and started a series of counterattacks to take back not only Vossenack, but Kommerscheidt and Schmidt was well. On November 6th, the Germans used a strong bombardment to move into attack position right on top of the U.S. troops defending Vossenack.

2026-06-27(D) Andy Bagley vs Martin Barker American winSecond go at this scenario, very close and exciting game this time, and one I was lucky to win. The Germans advanced steadily despite taking losses to some good American shots, so that on the last German turn I had just two SMCs remaining in the church, both of them being attacked in CC. But the Germans then rolled a 12 on the first of these, allowing me to sneak upstairs and deny them the building control they needed.
2026-06-26(D) Michael Urquhart vs Pete Phillips American win4 hrs
2026-06-26(D) Tim Reade vs Morris Legge German winMorris played a very solid game and when combined with some woeful dice I couldn't put up any resistance.
2023-11-19(D) Andy Bagley vs Stuart Brant DrawTried this on Sunday morning at Bounding Fire in Blackpool. Turned out that we didn't have enough time to finish, so agreed it a draw although the Americans were probably slightly better when we called it.
Interesting scenario with some close-quarters fighting that swung back and forth. The rules for the church itself however are quite difficult to get to grips with (refers to ABtF cellars, factory in two of the three hexes, steeple in one of them - unclear how you get to it if there is no Level 1 because of factory) and would have been very tricky to play in ftf mode had we got that far.
2023-03-20(A) Grant Hewitt vs Tigernaut German win
