Overview:
General DeCastries faced a major problem: how to deal with the Viet Minh AA-guns that were seriously hampering his efforts at air resupply for the garrison. He decided that the next day he would send a large strike out to the west of the garrison’s position, tasked to capture a nest of AA batteries near the village of Bang Ong Pet, and Ban Ban.. . .Expect play as either side to be nerve wracking. Without hidden guns a French victory would be almost guaranteed. The need to locate and destroy the guns makes for a tense game. The PAVN player will be aware the last gun is close to the searching French, who in turn will be trying to guess where it is and how to destroy it in the time available.Attacker: French (Elements of 6th BPC and tank battalion)
