Overview:
At 0630 parts of the Infanterie-Division 170 and Schützen-Brigade (mot.) reached the outskirts of Bredevad, a hamlet just north of the German-Danish border. Here at the crossroads of Bredevad itself. a company of the Danish 4th Bicycle Battalion had hurriedly dispatched to set up a roadblock before the Germans could arrive to seize the intersection.
