Overview:

When reports arrive that the Japanese 47th Infantry Division has come ashore between the villages of Damoritis and Dagupan, the forces at General Jonathan Wainwright disposal were less than ideal: the competent 26th Cavalry...and the rest of the Philippine Army, which was poorly trained and equipped. Fearing encirclement, Wainwright initially attempted to strike at the Japanese with the meager forces at his disposal, but this act of desperation met with predictably disastrous results. The remnants of the failed attack fell back to prepared positions in Damoritis, where they await the imminent Japanese assault.

2026-06-20(A) nathan wegener vs Todd Hively Filipino winEntertaining this one... Very much recommended but definitely a meatier scenario than it looks. Lots to think about.
I had a little Jap mortar fail to bring smoke to protect his tank buddies but instead rolled consecutive CH on the stuart instead. Stuart down crew bailed and down... Japanese then pushed gleefully forward with one squad moving adjacent to some green-o's who decided to FPF... and roll snakes - wait that doesnt cower off - that's an HOB going berserk to kill the squad and then charge one of my tanks. Down to the wire it's AFPh - I felt good with control of all but one stone building that had a DC on it adjacent to a wood building with the HMG and Squad where I also placed a good DC... DC goes off and gets a 3MC but it's snakes and HOB with a hero. I get the stone buildings but cant stop the hero and squad from getting back into the fortified building. game over... I could not get ambush w/stealthy japanese against the Filipino lax HS... kept getting mutual kills.
2025-07-25(A) Richard Jenulis vs Will Fleming Filipino win7.17 hrsThe Errata is confusing. The counter o the scenario card is a M3A1 Light (American vehicle note 3). The Errata from hazardousmevent.com reads "Replace the M3A1 Stuart tank with an M3 Stuart tank." The scenario notes also refers to the Stuart. The M3 Stuart I is British vehicle note 3. American vehicle note 2 is the M3 Light tank. We played with American vehicle note 2 (M3 Light Tank). The 4 fire power BMG proved to be a powerful asset to the Filipinos, especially when paired with the HMG and 9-1 leader in the Fortified building. Luck was also on the Filipinos side. They battle harden 5 units, generated 3 heroes and created an 8-1 leader. They also had 7 sniper attacks, 5x(dr1) and 2x(dr2). The Japanese suffered 6 casualty reductions due to DR12.
2024-08-04(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best Filipino winUS HMG KIA'd the Japanese 9-1 on Turn 1 and the Japanese were slowly attritted as they moved towards the crossroads. Japanese swarmed the final locations on Turn 6, but couldn't get into the Fortified location with any infantry. Filipino win by the slimmest of margins.
