Overview:

During the first part of the battle for Inor, the battle continued unabated during each night. even when a major offensive was not planned, small local counterattacks or recon in force were still launched by each side to test the enemy's line of defense for the next day's attack. During the night of the 19th, two recon in force were simultaneously launched by the French and German commands.

2021-12-19(D) Richard Jenulis vs Brent Morris German winThis is a very good introduction to Night scenario. As the French I went with the 9-2 option. I set up all units except for the two leaders and two squads HIP. The plan was to run enough EVP off if the opportunity opened itself, or to pull back to my lines if no such opportunity. My first shot revealed a killer stack of Germans, so I pulled back. By the start of turn 5 the CVP stood at 2 points each. Both French casualties were from DR 12 on MC. The game could have gone either way. A streak of bad fire attacks at the end allowed the Germans to walk off the 8 points for a victory. A good short scenario with a lot of replay value.

2021-12-18(D) Pascal Boileau vs Serge Doba French winAs an introduction to night rules, Night Patrol is probably one of the best ! In addition, it's a very entertaining scenario. Many dramatic turnaround events arose during this game. The Frenchs won during their last MPh but it was really close for a reverse result (at the endgame, the Germans would have won the game with their CVP ).
