Overview:
Even in the middle of the war against the Japanese, the struggle between the Kuomintang and the CCP continued. In Szechuan province, a regiment of the 8th Route Army was caught in an anti-partisan sweep. The unit dispersed in order to infiltrate the KMT lines and escape.
