Overview:

After several days of struggle, the city of Aachen was completely enveloped. The veteran United States' 1st Division had approached Aachen from the south and the 30th Division “Old Hickory” enveloped from the north. Located 5 kilometers north of Aachen, the town of Wurselen was one of few open supply routes for the German garrison in Aachen. Fighting was particularly fierce in the northern section of town, around critical rail and road links. Grenadiers and panzer from the 116. Panzer-Division “Greyhound” responded to the American pressure.
Attacker: American (Elements of 2/119th Infantry plus supporting elements from A Company, 743rd Tank Battalion)
