Overview:
From the start of the Nazi invasion, the Polish army bowed to the rapidly advancing attackers. However, to the west, the Warta River seemed to pose a significant obstacle. The Kresowa Cavalry Brigade, in reserve for the Lodz Army, came to support the infantry formations retreating step by step under pressure from the invaders. Unfortunately, the invaders were too powerful, even without Panzers. On the 4th, the 24.Infanterie-Division pushed back Polish infantry and cavalry west of Warta, a small town on the Warta River.Attacker: German (Elements of the German 102nd Regiment)
