Overview:
Operation Clipper, a joint operation with the 84th Railsplitters and British 43rd Wessex Division, was designed to erase a bulge in the Allied line in preparation for the planned Allied attacks in December. The attack began on 18 November, and while the amount of terrain captured had been satisfactory, Clipper was behind schedule. The time was now at hand for the Railsplitters to drive a deep wedge into the German center and capture the city of Wurm. Company C came forward to continue the attack toward Wurm by capturing Suggerath. The attack on Suggerath started at 1545 hours and immediately ran into enemy resistance.Attacker: American / British (Company C, 1st Battalion, 333rd Regiment, 84th Infantry Division and elements of the Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry, 8th Armored Brigade)
