Overview:
Generalleutnant Kirchner's 1st Panzer Division was advancing south from the bridgehead at Sedan to seize Bulson and the high ground south of the village. As German reconnaissance units reached Bulson, the defending French forces fled in near panic. Recognizing the opportunity to seize the initiative, Kirchner directed 4th Company, 1st Panzer Battalion, 2nd Panzer Regiment to conduct a hasty attack to gain the high ground before the French could launched their counterattack. The high ground was gained just minutes ahead of a counterattack by lumbering French FCM 36s of the 7ème Bataillon de Chars de Combat.Attacker: German (Kompanie 4, Panzer Bataillon 1, Panzer Regiment 2, Panzer Division 1 and Grossdeutschland Infantry Regiment and Panzer Kompanie 2, Panzer Regiment 2, Panzer Division 1)
