Overview:
Squad Bleeder is a miniature design-your-own kit, with the basic situation sketched out and each side given 100 purchase points and a menu of things to buy. Options range from infantry, armor, and ordnance, to air support, artillery, and fortifications. Victory is determined by inflicting casualties and advancing into enemy territory, so it's likely both sides will be on the attack. A die roll process determines the board configuration, and then both sides choose their forces in secret. . .Attacker: German (Panzer Korps XV)

| 2021-01-02 | (D) Gerry Proudfoot | vs | Martin Barker | French win (VASL Log) | German and French armour and infantry clash at the wooded junction of boards 4 and 59 near the stream in a massive battle. The appeal of the squad bleeder scenarios lay in their ability to fight the "elements of" battles over varying terrain and with different OoBs than if just playing a regular scenario. Martin's infantry surged forward in strength but were met by a French counter thrust supported by six H-39s. The Pz IVs that entered as reinforcements had terrible luck with AP ammunition, bogging and malfunctioning guns. Three additional French S-35s helped defeat the German tanks which opened the way for the H-39s to envelop the main German infantry force supported by the French Poilus. When the German main assault was broken and could not rout away (captured or eliminated for failure to rout) Martin conceded the match. The attached vlog has glitches from server issues. It was patched back together to show the basic flow. The glitches and ghosts are fairly obvious. | ||
