Overview:
During the night of 27 November, elements of 1/5th Royal Gurkha Rifles and 1st Royal fusiliers attacked Mozzagrogna. After several hours of close combat, they reported the town secured at 0200. The Germans hastily assembled an assault group around the Flamm-Komapnie of 26th Panzer Division – a mixed force of Flammpanzer III and Italian-built assault guns, which was unleashed at dawn to burn and blast the Commonwealth troops out of Mozzagrogna.Attacker: German (Infanterie Regiment 145 | Pionier Battalion 165 | flamm Kompanie 1 & Panzer Kompanie 7)
