Overview:
The men of SS-Kavallerie-Division 8 “Florian Geyer” were scrambling for their lives as two and a half months of near continuous fighting had reduced the unit to a shadow of its former self. By 3 February, the troops which had been holding out for the last month along the heights of the Kis-Svábhegy and among the crypts and headstones of the Farkasréti temeto began their inevitable retreat, ultimately, the base of the Várhegy.Attacker: Russian (320th Rifle Division and 3rd Tank Brigade, 23rd Tank Corps)
