Overview:
By June 8th, Egypt and Jordan had been knocked out of the Six Day War. Israel held off in hopes that Syria would stand down. It was not to be. Syrian shelling of Israel continued unabated, a last show of force before the anticipated UN-imposed cease-fire. On June 9th, Israel moved forward on a series of Syrian strongholds.
