Overview:

Operation Schwarz was the largest Axis anti-partisan operation. The operation attempted to encircle and crush the NOVJ partisan stronghold in the mountainous area between the Ceotina and Piva Rivers in southern Bosnia.

2024-05-19(D) Vic Lauterbach vs JM Croatian winThis one looked very tough for the Croatians, but Jim accepted the challenge, and his stream attack surprised me! The TKS's and a platoon got around my left flank and caused havoc, but his 347s holding up better under fire than my 337s did too. Several casualty MCs and losing three melees really hurt. By GT6 I was clinging to buildings 50D7 and G10 with two SMCs and one GO 337. Jim had a great plan plus some luck and got a well-deserved win. Jim: Keeping AFVs in action is key. The "mobile MGs" cut rout paths, keep broken partisans under DM and provide the exit VP. Vic got lots of MMG and ATR hits but no kills, not even an immobilization. One TKS was recalled for no functioning MA too late to matter. Both WZ-34's broke and fixed their MA twice! Good game but even with Vic's very high TK DRs, it came down to me rolling a 6 to win the CC in 50D7. With average DRs on both sides, this one heavily favors the partisans.
