Overview:

After more than two months of sitting next to swamps on the other side of the Pegasus bridgehead, the 51st Highlander Infantry Division had had its fill of mosquito and fly-infested Normandy. The 51st's 5th Battalion, also known as the Seaforth Highlanders, had taken positions just north of Bois de Bavant-crossroads (better known as the Triangle) situated on a small hill in which three roads intersected surrounded by several spruce forest groves. On the morning of July 18th, the Seaforth Highlanders would make a three pronged attack to capture the hill/cross-roads that had become a real pain in their arse.
