Overview:

With the German invasion of Greece and Yugoslavia on April 6th, the M13/40-equipped IV Battaglione Carri M redeployed to Albania’s northern border to support the L (Light) tank battalions of the “Centauro” Armored Division. Here they stayed until Italian-Yugoslav armistice talks ended at sunrise on April 11th. Twenty-two Italian tanks with infantry support started to ford the river, which ran low at some points even in the month of April. Suddenly the Yugoslavians opened fire and destroyed eleven of the “L” type tanks and two of the M13/40s. The Italians regrouped and showed that when well led, they could take the initiative. . .

2023-06-16(D) Andy Bagley vs Indy LaguA Italian winBased on previous ROAR scores we gave the Italians the balance here, and this may have made the difference in this very close scenario as the Italians won on their last (8th) turn. The main Italian attack came through the centre, straight over the hill, and led to heavy casualties on both sides - both of us thought we were going to run out of troops before the end! Ultimately it was the Italian tanks that decided it; my two AT guns took out two L3/35 tankettes but failed to knock out either of the M13/40s. With no other useful AT weapons for the Yogoslavs, these tanks were able to surround me and rumble up adjacent to use their MGs - much more effective than their main armaments.
Very good scenario, I recommend giving the Italians the balance.

Once I neutralized the Yugoslav AT guns, the game was done for the Allies.
