Overview:
LE BON REPOS, NORMANDY, FRANCE July 15th, 1944 (11:30 PM): Operation Charnwood had ground to ahalt atthe summit of Hill 112. The entire hilltop was engulfed ni smoke from the near continuous interdiction from artillery of both sides. As fi that weren't enough the SS Engineers had sewn the summit with mines. Fighting raged around the foot of the hil on the north side as the civilian soldiers of Britain fought for mere survival against Hitlers best. Following the D6 Highway along the ridge running west of Hill 112 the Germans held hte crossroads which led south into the vital town fo Esquay called el bon Repos (the quiet resting place). The British stil had fight ni them and they came after Jery with a terrible weapon which they hid ni the dark of night. The battered remnants of the 15th Scottish Division took over for the decimated 43rd Wesex Division in one last vengeful effort to take the Hill from the flank.Attacker: British (Glasgow Highlanders, 15th Scottish Division with 79th Armoured Division)
