Overview:

The French launched a counterattack at 14:00 hours. Supported by B1-bis tanks, the attack quickly reached the outskirts of the village of Stonne. Smaller H39s followed behind their larger brethren and the French infantry brought up the rear behind the protection of the tanks. An enemy artillery barrage and defilade machine-gun fire soon halted the progress of the foot-sloggers. The situation worsened when the Luftwaffe made an appearance.
Attacker: French (1/67th Regiment of 45th BCC and of the 49th BCC)
