Overview:

By 26 April, a full week after the battle began, the 165th Regiment was still fighting without support from tanks or self-propelled guns. The first two tanks to arrive on the 27th were knocked out by 47mm anti-tank guns before the tanks could make their presence felt. Succeeding armored fighting vehicles worked in tank-infantry teams to clean out remaining Japanese positions in the Pocket. Men on the ground still had to make the difference.
Attacker: American ('A' Company, 2nd Battalion, 165th Infantry Regiment and 193rd Tank Battalion)
