Overview:

In the town of Shklov, the German advance was frustrated by the determined defense of a handful of young Soviets. Skillfully using every advantage, the young officer cadets, known as “Stalin Scholars”, were able to beat back the advance of the regular German forces. In order to break the deadlock the Germans ordered the crack Infantry Regiment “Grossdeutschland” to clear the town.

2022-06-04(D) Scott Sherer vs Skip Dyckman German winCAASL Meeting
2016-07-25(A) Martí Cabré vs Joan Navarro German winThe Russian player was a newbie and I teached him the basics. He deployed quite well but failed to fall back trading space for time. Instead he choose to stand in a couple of places and I got lucky CCing his units with good trade-offs. My assault to his Alamo was costly, with 4 squads broken on the street, but the 10-3 leader worked as a charm to push the defenders away. On Turn 4 the Russians only had a HS left and they conceded. The scenario is thrilling as both sides have a 10-3, which are killing and rallying machines. You must move careful out of the sight of these enemy leaders.
