Overview:

During the destruction of Army Group Center, the German front became pierced at many points. As the battlefield situation became more fluid, reliable information was of crucial importance to both sides. In the midst of the fighting an unusual clash occured on the outskirts of Lepel— unusual in that both recon forces were commanded by seasoned, aggressive leaders. Although the primary responsibility of both groups was to avoid contact and obtain battlefield intelligence, the aggressive nature of both commanders prevailed. A vicious firefight ensued. . .

2013-02-07(A) Martí Cabré vs Ryan Powers Russian winAt first I did a bad move with the Russian tanks and Ryan easily covered my positions. I ran the lead tank into a wooden building to get some TEM but the Pumas burned it. Luckily one Puma malf'd his gun. The battle fragmented in two duels by the two bridges but I moved a couple of tanks across the stream to flank his forces. One duel resulted in one kill each and another Puma malf'd his gun. The Russians killed first the last Puma with a working gun and, as the Pumas failed to repair the guns, another one. With only one malf'd Puma and three T-70 ready to exit the map, the Germans conceded.
