2015-12-29(D) Bill Brodie vs Steven Bond British winThe initial bombardment smashed my first line, revealing all of my dummies and breaking two and a half squads. This allowed the British to get to the bridge on the first turn.
That is where they bogged down, my OBA came down in harassing fire, making it hard for him to move, but then my observer broke his radio. I took one shot with the flamethrower and broke it. He forded across the river on the right, and pushed hard on the bridge. A hero and a fanatic half squad took out a Sherman in CC on the bridge, but the German numbers were dwindling. He had 13 VP on the north side of the bridge on his last turn, I needed to kill 2 half squads in CC to win, my first attack work, but I missed the second. He won on the last CC roll by one VP, it doesn't get much colder than that! Great game.
