Overview:
In southern Norway, any Axis line of advance had to parallel the existing road system due to terrain and weather. Taking advantage of these restrictions, the Allies based their defense on a series of roadblocks supported by flanking fire from surrounding high ground. A hasty defense near the village of Otta with units from the newly arrived British 15th Brigade soon was tested. . .Attacker: German ("Gruppe Pellengaler", 196th Division and Panzer Battalion 40)
