Overview:

On Crete, once again the British forces had suffered defeat and were in retreat, streaming towards the beaches at Sfakia and evacuation by the Royal Navy. The pursuing German mountain troops were pressing hard, and had to be checked. The commandos of Layforce were ordered to stop and act as a rearguard, even though too lightly equipped to operate as regular infantry. They made a stand where the only road over the White Mountains passed through a narrow valley thickly covered in olive groves. They had been promised armor support but the Germans arrived first. .
Attacker: German (Bataillon II, Gebirgsjäger Regiment 85)
Defender: British (Battalion D, Layforce / 7th Battalion, Royal Tank Regiment / 2/8th Australian Battalion)

2020-09-19(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best British winWow...tough game. Dan's Germans took some early losses and his 9-2 kill stack couldn't get rate of fire, which kept the British in the game long enough to get the win.
2020-09-19(A) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins British win
2020-08-14(A) Shane Pask vs German winThe first half of the game was a lot of movement and not much shooting. The Matilda jammed its MMG then scored a CH with its main gun. However, 40mm AP vs infantry in open is not very effective. OBA was active but kept rolling low for contact then 9+ for effect. One German HS went fanatic and generated 2 heroes and Germans gained a third hero from another squad. No EVP by the end of turn 7 then the flood gates opened. Final total 28.
2020-07-19(D) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne Duval British winGermans were struggling to close the distance to make it to VC area. Two stacks becoming Berserk and charging across open ground doomed the German advance from ever reaching the opposite hill.
