Overview:
After the men of the 17th Airborne Division made their first combat jump on March 24th, they immediately faced numerous challenges. Units were separated, leaders became casualties, and heavy flak scattered their planes. Consequently, elements of the 513th PIR landed in a British drop zone. Despite this, it did not hinder them from carrying out their mission. The available platoon leaders swiftly gathered their men and set out to reconnoiter the area and establish contact with other US units.Attacker: American (513th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division)
