Overview:

Timoshenko's offensive had struck hard all along the Finnish lines and was now steamrolling through the V-Line before Viipuri, Finland's second largest city. The last line of defense was the T-Line, which extended from Tali to the Vuoksi Waterway. Scattered Finnish strongpoints, some recently prepared, were all that now stood before the Russian advance. Multi-directional attacks pressured the Finnish defenders to the dwindling hope that their defense would hold. Here, along the coastal road southwest of Viipuri, the Russians once again threw in their newest prototype tanks of the 20th Heavy Tank Brigade to prove their worth in Stalin's eyes.
