Overview:

In “Rolling Out the Carpiquet,” which takes place about a month later but only 10 km from Putot-en-Bessin, the Winnipeg Rifles and B Company of the Fort Garry Horse combine to seize the Carpiquet airfield. The Fort Garry Horse, also known as the 10th Armoured Regiment, was one of three regiments comprising the 2nd Armoured Brigade of the 5th Armoured division. In this scenario the soldiers from Manitoba again face the 26th Panzer Grenadier Regiment.

2018-11-18(D) Jeff B vs Elmo Menon German (SS) winThis scenario was rather a dud. If the Germans do not get OBA (which is an absolute no-brainer to select) they have no chance. With it the Canadians will have a very rough go crossing all the open ground. Despite dropping a lot of smoke, the Canadians lost 3.5 squads the first turn doing just such. Turn 2 basically just saw some regrouping done by the attackers. This allowed the German infantry to go back to the comfort of concealment while the OBA and tanks did the suppressing. After losing the Croc to a fortuitous CH on Turn 3, and with their infantry still licking their wounds, the Canadians called it a day.
