On the night of 31 August, the North Koreans launched a multi-division attack aimed at Taegu. The bulk of the KPA 9th Infantry Division attacked the line of the 9th Infantry Regiment that roughly followed the Naktong River, with an immediate objective of Yongsan, eight miles to the east. At the Kihang ferry crossing near Agok, A Company, supported by tow tanks and two AAA halftracks, prepared to receive the assault.Attacker: North Korean (1st Battalion and 1st Company with Regimental Weapons, 9th Division)
