Overview:

After its first attempt to take the town by surprise failed, the 2nd Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron tried again the next day but this time with the help from the CCR of the 4th Armored Division attacking from the northwest. The town was held by the remnants of the 15.Panzergrenadier-Division, with only 3,500 men by this time.

2021-09-01(A) Andy Bagley vs Josh Kalman German winI made some early gains and took 11 of the required 13 victory buildings fairly early. However, I made a guess as to where the HIP German AT guns were, and guessed wrong, which led to heavy tank losses and left me unable to cross the canal to take the victory buildings on board 23. Further north I made better progress but the Germans reinforced this area, resulting in a slugfest that i couldn't break. A desperate late charge on turn 6 cost me even more casualties, at which point I had to concede.
