Overview:
Three German Infantry Corps of Fourteenth Army were pushing east between the Vistula and Bug Rivers maintaining pressure, with VIII Corps oriented towards Tomaszow. The Polish forces began to break up into pockets of Resistance, and were not acting as a large, cohesive fighting force. Some of the Polish units formed strongpoints, reinforced with heavy machineguns to fight off the onslaught. Although these units were trapped, the German infantry was forced to reduce these positions. The 8th Infantry Division benefitted from having a company of self-propelled 88s, which came forward and pounded the tough positions.Attacker: German (Elements 8th Infantry Division)
