Overview:
The Thai Army launched an all-out offensive into French Indochina on 5 January 1941, overrunning the border positions and driving west. They seized Yeang Dang on 11 January without a fight. The French planned a counterattack into the flank of the Thai penetration, focusing on capturing Yeang Dang and Phum Preav.
