Overview:

The 1st Guards Airborne Division was to seal the 66th Panzergrenadier Regiment in the city of Karcag. The few artillery and anti-tank guns available were used to force the Germans into the center of the city. Not to be totally annihilated, the remnants of the 93rd Panzergrenadier Regiment attempted a breakout with support from a company of Panthers and some armored halftracks. Many did not make it, but some did, and the delaying action allowed other elements of III Panzer Korps to regroup, counterattack, and encircle their adversaries. . .

2017-10-25(A) Stephen dedier vs Holt, Jim Russian winThis was a tough scenario for my Germans. The Russians with high morale were broken by fire but fell back to the factories and rallied. I had difficulty playing my vehicles so learned a lot about narrow streets and MOL in this game. While not as deadly as a panzerfaust....they are pretty bad.
2017-03-05(D) Michael Rodgers vs Sam Harper Russian winI defended the buildings in front of the factories with most of my units. A few units, including the AT gun, were covering the center of 51 where it joined 49. Sam Harper had trouble getting his attack going and he also lost exiting units to the T34 tanks, one of which went down to CC. Sam eventually reached the factory but ran out of time.
