SOLITAIRE ASL - After a successful advance of more than two weeks the Nordland regiment encountered the first staged counterattacks of the campaign. The battalions and support companies had to form an in depth line to hold off the Russian attacks supported by air. After the initial onslaught the Russians were thrown back with heavy losses.
