Overview:
On November 26, Warren Force attacked into the heavily-fortified Duropa Plantation, but by nighfall no headway had been made. The Japanese had built multiple bunkers supported by trenches and breastworks which proved exceedingly difficult to crack. A new assault was ordered for December 5th, and the 3rd Battalion, 128th Infantry Regiment would be supplemented by Australian Bren carriers. After an early-morning attack by A-20 bombers and artillery, the Carriers went in, followed closely by the GI's.Attacker: American/Australian (Company L, III/128th Infantry Regiment and attached Australian Carriers)
